End of Season Pitch Renovations
Elite Sportsturf operate a GKB Combinator 2.4 m and Imants Koro 2.5m (universe and terraplane rotor) for extensive sports turf pitch renovations and can remove all vegetation on natural and hybrid turf surfaces alike. This process is normally completed to create a clean and organic free surface ready for seeding or in some cases where more extensive levelling and surface restoration practices are required.
Elite Sportsturf are able to provide a full surface appraisal and consultation in order create a full renovation specification as required.
Ground Levelling/Laser Grading
Utilising equipment such as Laser Graders, Stone Buriers and Power Harrows, Elite Sportsturf are able to construct or restore any turf surface to achieve a perfect playing surface. Utilising GPS tractors and state of the art grading equipment we can achieve tolerances to conform to PQS standards.
Scarification for Natural Turf Surfaces
Elite Sportsturf has several mechanical scarifiers in its fleet with different machinery suitable for an array of sports surfaces. We have the GKB combinator, BM50 scarifier, Graden, Rytec Flail Scarifier. Scarification is a vital part of sports pitch and fine turf renovations and maintenance regimes. The removal of unwanted organic material both above and below ground in a variety of methods will dramatically improve the condition of the turf surface.
Sports Grounds Contracting (Professional/Amateur)
What’s included in our Sports Grounds Maintenance contracts depends on what type of sports surface you have and what it needs all year round. We can provide a range of services as a part of our sports grounds maintenance contracts, to include professional grounds management at stadia, cricket grounds, rugby grounds, independent schools and amateur sports clubs. Our operatives are all qualified to a minimum level 2 in Groundsmanship, with the majority qualified to a higher level. Sports Pitch Drainage Installations
Elite Sportsturf has within its fleet an array of drainage equipment to assist its customers with the installation of both primary and secondary drainage systems. Within the fleet is the AFT 55 Whizz Wheel and Dual Use Hopper plus other additional machinery all of which is laser guided and used in conjunction with GPS technology to ensure exact drainage mapping and falls. Elite Sportsturf are happy to provide free consultation to any customer that may be interested in the installation of drainage on their turf surface.
Seeding/Overseeding
Elite Sportsturf have the Vredo Disk Seeder, Mumby Star Seeder and Charterhouse Speed-Seed as part of the fleet. They vary from 1.8m – 2.5 metres in width to enable seeding over both smaller and wide areas. We operate all of these seeders with GPS technology to ensure that all the seeding is carried out exactly – the tolerance of our GPS system is within 2mm and therefore enables precise seeding calibration over any turf areas ensuring that no wastage occurs.
Contract Spraying
Whether looking to spray simple fertilisers or more complex chemicals such as fungicides and pesticides Elite Sportsturf have you covered, using either the Gambetti T Spec Pro 800 litre sprayer or the Team Vixen Pro Sprayer for smaller areas. Knapsack spraying is a service also offered for our customers.
With over 25 years of experience in pesticide applications you can be safe in the knowledge that Elite Sportsturf has everything in place to help target any turf related issue.
Fertilising and Nutritional Programming
Utilising Phil Garrod’s vast experience in the field of sports pitch nutrition, at Elite Sportsturf we can tailor both fertiliser programmes and applications to suit our customers. Phil has written specifications for some of the highest levels of sports turf surfaces in the UK to include National football stadia and at the same time work with local community sports clubs. He has a wealth of experience in advising in warm and cool season environments and has worked with some of the biggest names in the Sports Turf Industry.
Groundsman Hire/Labour
In the current climate with labour shortages our groundsman hire packages can help cater for a shortfall in labour by hiring staff on a temporary basis. All our staff are qualified to Level 2 Groundsmanship as minimum with several members holding much higher qualifications all the way up to degree level in sportsturf management. With a wealth of experience across all sportsturf sectors to include Professional Sports, Independent Schools, Cricket maintenance Elite Sportsturf can help when staffing levels are low.
